Looking for a cheap, but big Hard Drive!

Alright, thanks! Now I just have to work on finding a better mobo/processor combination :p im thinking of getting an AMD 3000+ Athalon. How do those look?

It's ok, but the 3000+ I'm looking at uses that old Newcastle core which makes me cringe. San Diego core is best, but a Venice core will do a good job too, much better than the Newcastle core. Something like this:

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice 1GHz FSB 512KB L2 Cache Socket 939 Processor - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103535

and a more expensive one:

AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego 1GHz FSB 1MB L2 Cache Socket 939 Processor - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103539

This motherboard looks good to go with that CPU:

ASUS A8N-E Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131530

The 3000+ also comes as a Venice, and is the cheapest 939 Venice you can get, great value too. They also overclock like hell :D

Thanks guys, I ended up buying the 200GB HD, looked pretty nice and Maxtor has always been good :)

Just a question, some of the reviews mentioned that only 130GB of the 200 were showing up. Will this happen with me, and if so how can I fix it?

you either need to install drivers for windows to recognize all 200 gbs and\or sp2 should take care of it

or you could just partition it:D
