Which would be better for a small, portable laptop that can run Adobe Creative Suite and Macromedia Studio?

I would also like to know if both are capable of running Homeworld 2 and Halo at minimum graphics at an adequate speed.

Well, if money is no issue, the Sony Viao all the way! It will be faster and has more RAM and more storage space, so how can you lose?

What scares me is the harddrive on the TX. 60 GB 5400 RPM. Is 5400 unbearably slow?

it's slow, but it's the standart with laptops. I've never seen a laptop with 7200RPM hdd.
