dual channel memory

does a motherboard have to support dual channel memory? like is there only certain motherboards that allow/support dual channel? or does dual channel memory work on any mobo.(i kno it has to have the right number of pins and be a compatable speed)

its 754, i cant remember if that one can, im pretty sure it cant. That socket is really slow.

No, I'm pretty sure that one doesn't. The ones that do on the ASUS webpage specifically list dual-channel RAM in the Spec pages, the mobo you listed doesn't

doesnt relaly matter because it still supports 3gigs of memory. so i would be happy doesnt need dual channel if you ask me.

I don't think that is correct.
I think the increase in performance is more like 20%.
