Computer not detecting floppy or dvd-rom

Yeah, give that a try the next day then. I've done that swap thing a few times before on other people's PC and 100% of the time, it's a bad drive. I use a good one that I had and if it worked in their PC, I charge them for it.

In the BIOS, did you make sure that the Floppy drive is set to 1.44MB 3 1/2?

did ya whack it a few times? it actual does work sometimes :O if u got a faulty connection or sumin it sumtimes bumps it just right so it works
