Problems...

My dad just bought Quake 4, brought it home, Fully installed it, and when he goes to click on the Desktop Icon to load the game, It boots up to the Games option screen, (ie. Play, Options, Help, blah blah blah), but when he goes to click play, the game asks for Disk 1 which is already in the drive. He'lll open the drive, close it, click ok, and it goes back to the games option screen...Any ideas. He far surpassess the games requirements....So what could cause this?

Is the CD in the Master or Slave CD Drive? It would be preffered to be put on the Master drive. BUT, if the CD drive where you installed the Game with Disc one, well I'd suggest to try it. Do one or the other. Are you sure it's Disc 1? (Dumb question, but to make sure)

You might want to also just do the routine uninstall and install it again just in case the install process screwed something up. You could also try and access the other icon they usually put in the folder where all the games files are put. It might just be a dodgy icon that has a mind of it's own.
