mouse troubles

not sure if anyone can help but my mouse has been acting up, it is not responding to my mouse clicks sometimes, it seems to freeze up. Its a ball mouse and ive tried cleaning it, anybody have any suggestions??

How do you mean, do you mean that the pointer takes a while to respond after you move the mouse after you click?

Sounds to me like the thing's dying, how long have you had it?

hmmm if i were ide go out and get a $5 optical mouse and that will solve the problem and opticals are far better anyway

the pointer moves fine, say i go to refresh a page i can move the pointer there easily but when i left click the mouse it sometimes doesnt respond. Also the left click and hold to highlight text, it sometimes highlights the text without me clicking the mouse. Seems like the button is sticking.

ps: i also cleaned and removed a trojan from my computer could it be related?
