ok, i have a question or two for you pros....
Do media converters ( Ethernet to fiber ) create latency? Will a media converter create more lag ? how much? 50-100ms? or way less?
another question too.
If you have 100 computers, in one room. All the computers are connected to multiple 24 port switches ( via cat 7 gigabit, with gigabit NIC's to gigabit switch.. ), the switches are then uplinked via fibre into a core switch...
Would this eliminate latency compared to a standard all ethernet network? ( 100m cat 5e )
Thanks
