I've tried everything to fix my problem but nothing works. I'm about ready to call it quits. Here's the specs
Pentium 4 2.6 Ghz
768 Ram
Good Video Card
Good Sound Card
The problem is that the computer freezes *mouse/keyboard lock up and PC is nonresponsive* every once and a while while you are using it. Its usually random but sometimes it does it right when the computer boots up and you start working. First I reformatted the hardrive and installed up to date drivers. I then thought it was a heating problem, but I ran speedfan and the numbers were normal. After that, I ran memtest86 and it showed no errors. Then I switched hardware acceleration off, but that didn't work either. I bought more ram, bumping it up from 256, and that also didn't work. The weird thing is that it usually works in safe mode without problem.
If anyone can offer any more advice it would help. Thanks in advance.
