okay, not a SUPERCOMPUTER, but rather x800xt and over is still quite a large amount to pay for a non hardcore gamer. along goes with 6800 gt, etc. I mean.. i want to pump a good 50 fps AT MINIMUM when playing video games.. but i guess everyone has their own opinions..

No, brand new.

Well that may have been your problem. There were problems with overheating so TigerDirect replaced the fans I believe so thats why the work better.

the ati's dont cost a grand. and the nvidia are even more expensive. the ait x1800 is around i think 500 not close to a grand dude. that card should be fine for the games u wanna play though.

Well to be completely honest I am not looking to buy a graphics card that is almost the same price as the computer I am getting...just doesn't seem logical to me, at least not right now. Like I said, I'm not a hardcore gamer and it seems the current graphics card will work ok for the games that I want to play.
