Home networking with SP2

hi, well im stuck with networking my comp with my laptop. When i had SP1 on my laptop, it would easily network, sharing printers and internet. But when i install SP2, a bubble pops up and says "limited or no connectivity". I have tried all the possible settings and still cant find out what needs to be configured. Can any1 please help?

Maybe it's possible that it's windows firewall? I could be wrong but you could try disabling it and then seeing if it works.

Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections > Network Connections > Right click the connection you use > Properties > Advanced > then you should see the option for the firewall

Do you have an Ethernet cable running directly from your modem to your computer, or is it through a router?

Well it's usally windows firewall but if you already disabled it... Do you have another firewall on? Also have you ran the network wizard?

i used the same cable i used when networking with SP1, and it works fine.

I yup, i ran network wizard of both comps. My computer works fine with the network, but itz onli on da laptop that it cannot connect.
