IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after 3 1/2 months off messing around with this comp. problem was: bad ram sticks (mushkin) i switched to patriot.

That's incredible. Is this like the 4th time now you had to switch RAM? I still can't believe the other ones didn't work. Bad luck, I guess. At least everything's in working order now.

i think it was the luck. lol. but now i hav another problem, my ati x700 built by vision tek is crashing my windows. *cry*. i am gonno buy the one built by ati x700 pro.

a question:
can i reformat the hd using the windows xp cd without booting windows?
