Dual Channel Mobo. question.

If I have a daul channel mobo, and then buy singgle channel ram. will the computer not work?

Computer will still work without any problems. It's just a benefit you'll get if you use two RAM sticks. If you just use one, no problem at all.

Cuz just put it in and it came to a blue screen that said there was a problem and had to shut windows down. and i didnt evn install windows yet. wut should i do?

Did you put the RAM in the first memory port, DDR1?

Hmm, that's weird. Everything should work. Maybe try putting it into different slots to see what happened. Are you getting any RAM count in the beginning? I've never seen a blue screen when Windows is not even installed. Try putting your Windows XP CD in the drive and reboot for the installation process.

does this occurs in the Windows installation? If so, that could be a signal of a bad RAM stick...change it

lol, i am gonno change it for like the 3rd time. do you guys recommend a certain brand? so far i got mushkin and corsair.

Try the OCZ if you have to change out the RAM
