My Cpu Freezes Up !!!

ok i jsut bought a new hard drive and it wasent that now i wanna buy a new mobo and proc. cuz my proc. right now is a xp mobile which i tried to over clock but ya idk wuts going on i just need some help on what i should do like could it be memory or the processor or WHAT lol help me plzzzz

yes it's alot better.
What temps is the cpu running? also does this freezing up happen all the time or just for example when playing games?

ALLLL the time but for some reason if i had warcraft 3 minimized it wouldnt freeze and temps are good there mb 18 cpu 23

A hardware incompatibility maybe, check to make sure everything is in right.

my computer did that for a while. Does it freeze and shut down or just lock up? I ended up reformating.

well now its going to be amd 64 3700, biostar nfa sata, 120 GB (from best buy for 30$ after MIR), 512 (2700), powercolor 9800, sound blaster w/ some new logitech X-530 BLK 5.1 speakers. COD2 (for 25 from best buy lol) is going to be AWESOME !!!!
