Hibernation

Okay...I was bored and decided to test this out - How many of you use Hibernation on your computer?

If you don't know what it is - here we go - Hibernation is where you'r computer is in between shutting down and sleeping - basically, it is turrned off, but when you start it, it turns on! and, with mine, it gives me the same sorta thing that I get when I do lock workstation, then I can log in, and it even keeps my last open apps!!!

So, Do you use it?

Nah, kidna a pain in the ass, becasue it can ruin ur hard drive, but not really. because it writes all the data to ur hard drive, like every exact thing that was running, and shuts off, and then when is turned back off, its booted directly from that part of the hard drive.

I use it just because then it can automatically boot itself on the morning and wake me up with music.

I'm not 100% sure if it's hibernation but I think it is.

It sounds like hibernation, anyhow, i don't use it, the only functions that i use is boot up, shut down and restart, but that's about it ...

I just put my laptop on stanby, never hibernation.

i just leave it on or shut it off nutin in between really

Standby works better and is alot quicker to wake up...............
