restoring my computer

hi there im selling my computer and i want to restore it to how i bought it (e.g factory settings) with just microsoft works and internet explorer left on it. how do i go about doing this ive tried system restore and i dunno what to do next

if you have the windows cd and the microsoft works cd that came with the computer, you could reformat the hard drive and do a re-install of windows and microsoft works. that would wipe everything else out.

reformatting is the easiest way. And the most effective.

U could just remove all the programs u have installed, delete ur user accounts, delete stuff in the documents & settings, delete ur IE cookies, page histories.
And delete a lot of stuff.

So if u can do a reformat.

just, reformat if u want it origional again... tho ive never reformatted..
