I think that to reduce people posting to get their post count up, the minimum message should be made longer, this will stop people from just replying

"lol"

or

"lmao"

so i think that davis should

"Perhaps limit it to this long"

Then i feel it would stop the forum from being used just to get a post count up and to make people actually use the forum for what it is meant for.

I don't really think it's necessary here. Besides, sometimes I just post a smilie in agreement. I'm not trying to get my count up - I just felt a smilie would suffice! Also, if someone wanted to spam, they could just pound on their keyboard until they had the minimum number of characters anyway.

Possibly, but I don't think that's really a problem here. Besides, sometimes a simple 'I agree.' is all that's needed.
