Hey,
I think this was asked a while ago, but never got a straight answer. If you hook up your cable router to a cable jack anywhere, should you theoretically get cable internet?
EX: We have a cottage that we go to in Michigan, that does not have internet, but does have cable TV, would i be able to get internet through that?
or would i have to pay extra for it?

Nah, thts kl, u can get away with it by hiding your ip, but not worth if if u get caught, you can pay like a lil extra a month, but it aint broadband, more like a dial up.

yea, were gettin a new place, and i just was gonna use that temporarily for xbox live, until we get the new house :)

I don't think you can since the company must allow the MAC address on the cable box to connect to their server.

The cable box uses a MAC address if it can go online, it will work for a while, but heres a few tips, if you use it, never ever switch off the cable box while the cable is being used, and two...hide it when the cable man comes round!`
