I've had this computer for like 1 week, newly built. It worked prefectly fine until one day. The comp was running good and than it just shut down by itself and than i turn it back on, and it worked for like 5min and than it turned off again. So i tried to turn it on again,, and the I get a power for like .5sec. The lights and fan turn on for like .5sec and than it turns off by itself.

Its: Diablotek 450Watts
amd 64 3700+
1026 pc 3200
x800gt 256 pci-ex

i know its crappy psu but its new one.. so yea..

any help would be welcomed! :)

It's being grounded out. I had the same problem when I first built my computer. Try loosenging all the screws in the motherboard, and checking if any METAL OBJECT is touching the motherboard, such as a fallen screw or case.

I don't think he understands what "earth" means. I think it means that you place the case against the ground so the side panel is facing up, and make sure that you don't have any static electricity or anything like that.
