hi i just got a new hard drive because my old one set a light. Now the new one i have to install a os i got a copy of windows xp .. now i need to know how to install windows xp on to the hard drvie ?

well i know how too i have to select to cd rom so i can install xp but on my bios it says i ant got a cd rom drive on the boot bit but it does say i have a cd rom connected at the liek first page ..

does it change anything that it is a dvd rom and that the xp is on a dvd .. cd ?

as i said in your other post you got to go into the bios and set it from there. thats the only was i know
