win xp start bar

i want to customize my start bar so that i can remove the search, help and support, etc icons. any ideas?

right click on the bar part of the start bar. Select Properties then start menu tab then Customize then Advanced.

yea i know how to do that but wont let me delete the icons. it only displays programs and others i have.

wont do it on the classic start bar which im using. i want to remove all the settings, search, run, help and support, etc.. links from the start bar then add my own such as word

cant open it. cant find the right codec. just tell me what its about

Click the advanced tab in the customize section...and take out what you don't need...but unchecking it
