Want to try Linux...

Thanks alot for all the help.

P.S I do read posts, but this is the first time I have done it therefore, do not want to mess it up, just double checking. Thanks again

Ok well I burned it to disc with nero, and then set to boot from cd, all looks good, then just loads windows

What you have done is probably burned the ISO file to disc just as a file, without extracting it.

Use the program I suggested, it works every time. What it'll do is open the ISO and burn the individually extracted files to the CD so that it's bootable.

sorry guys, forgot to ask, i also want to try linux, which version of linux is best for games, pls help

Ubuntu is a great linux to start with. It doesn't overwrite xp. Gentoo is good too, but I have more experience with ubuntu, so yeah. Just go to their site http://www.ubuntulinux.org/ and download (or order the CD for that matter)(shipped free) and then install it and choose the option to not overwrite xp.

That is the best to do, although i think linuix is a waste of time, its all down to opinion.
