Wireless Router Interference

With all the wireless technologies using 2.6GHz connections these days, i was just wondering would there be a great level of interference. I want to get a wireless router, but dunno how severe the interference from my cordless phone would be, which has a frequency of 2.6Ghz also. Any comments or suggestions?

Never heard of there being any problems with it. You should be able to set up a wireless network in your home and have the same connection speeds as you would using cat5, But if anyone else knows something more I wouldnt be suprised.

Most have a frequency of 2.4GHz. I've had experience with interference from the following:

-wireless RF mouse
-2.4GHz cordless phone

You can also get it from your wireless keyboard too. Basically anything wireless that uses the same frequency has a potential of getting some kind of interference. For 2.6GHz, I know you can configure a router to use that frequency, but not much stuff is in between the range of that.
