can you upgrade the onboard memory of a geforce 6600 gt from 128 mb, to 256 mb?

I gues it would be possible. But u would need some nice tools which u could do it with. U are free to try it with a hammer and duct tape (or any other DIY method) but I doubt it will work.
And even with the nice tools to work with u'd need to know wxactly what u are doing.

Better not try it, unless you're a computer engineer or something. It's designed to be a permanent setup. You'll have to buy a new card.

Yeah, memory chips are soldered and permeanantly installed, so you better not try and remove it or you're screwed. It's not as simple as buying memory modules and duct taping them to the points. You need lots of stuff.
