problem installing windows

i have a laptop with no os and i want to install windows me. i have the windows me cd but it is not bootable. microsoft say i need to boot from a floppy but it does not have a floppy drive.

I've never installed Windows ME, but I think that to install Windows 98, you need a floppy to use as a 'boot disk', so it's probably the same case here.

Try searching for 'how to install windows me' with Google.

get an external floppy drive... they make ones which plug into the USB ports... then you should be able to use that to boot from...
