No that wont, you cant format the drive your operating off of. If you want to uninstall windows. Take the cd you used to install it and delete all the partitions. This converts everything on your hd to a 0, blank, the new person can format as they please.

If you dont have one of those cds, download a trial of partition magic and use that to delete all the partitions.
