Ok so ya my mom made the BIG mistake last year of getting Yahoo SBC dsl. AHHH they suck...so the contract is ending and im wondering whats a good company to go with. With reasonable prices and speeds. Im in cali, if there are little private companies there. PLEASE HELP ME GET AWAY FROM THIS SBC CRAP!!!

It's different in the UK.

Here, you'll often find corporate and educational bodies using webhosting and Internet firms you've never heard of.

Who the $!%& are "Redstone", you might ask? My old school along with about 300 others throughout the UK use them as an ISP.

So here we do use small private companies for certain situations, but you might want to stick with a big name like NTL, BT or blueyonder just for peace of mind.
