ok, i am debating wether to get a 6600GT 4X/8X AGP or a 3200+ AMD?

I dont know :(

Ohh, and what is so good about E6 stepping?

I don't see anything wrong with your current machine, althought I don't know what RAM you have.

yeah man.. just save up and make a biger upgrade.. you'll barely see a diff between what you're gonna get and what you have

thats what i was thinking btw, i have like the cheapest OCz ram you can get ~1042gbs

now what is new in the 3000+ E6 edition and the old 3000+ amd??

u really shouldnt make such a small upgrade like that, u will see barely if any improvement, just save up for now

What does it say on the chips? The new E6's have SSE3, a better memory controller.

Yeah, basically, the memory controller in E6 now supports 4 DDR400 DIMM's, whereas in the old versions, using 4 DIMM's meant the modules would run at DDR333.

Also, yeah, the SSE3 support, but I don't know many apps which can take advantage of it at the moment, but it's good to have for the future.
