itunes won't start

hi...my friend is having a problem starting itunes...he double clicks the icon, and absolutely nothing happends. It has been going on for 3 days. can anyone help?

Go into Control Panel and then go to Add/Remove Program. Uninstall iTunes and redownload the software again. Then install it.
