Anyone know what the heck this is?

Ok well I got these two cables from somewhere...just in the house..wired..anyway..One end plugs into serial port, then the other, LOOKS like a stereo input ( the bit u plug into your speakers ) So i plugged it all in, plugged into speakers, and it appears it is not for this...anyone know what this is..would a pic help?

If you mean in the wall in the house, it depends what country you live in. If you live in Germany, for instance, it might be the 'cable' plug for radio reception. If the serial port is round and larger, it's for the TV cable, which you might have in the house, but if you don't pay for it, it is not active. Check with your landlord and find out. Good Luck.
