One of my two computers has really **** graphics and it does not have a agp or pci express slot. The gfx card i tyyed ti put in was a Creative 3D Blaster GeForce2 MX PCI
I have turned the onboard graphics off and change the gfx boot settings in the bios to boot from pci it shows all the start up info fine then the screen goes black.

Anyone got any ideas?

Hmm... can you boot in safe mode? (f8 at bootup), and then possibly install new drivers for the card?

Usually if the screen goes black, its because the refresh rate or resoloution is set too high, because it seems the Windows VGA drivers haven't kicked in, so it still thinks you have the onboard but you dont.

So try safe mode, adn when it finds new hardware, install the drivers, then restart, and hopefully *fingers crossed*, it'll recognise it.
