Here is an Alien Ware computer, yes they are over priced but i can get what i want with this for $989.00. But i have seen better for the price. SO my question is this. Does ailenware, use a better mobo, type of ram, hard drive or other, to make the price jump worth while?

<EDIT> its weird because It looks like Acer, is a very, very good brand, and Hp, is right along with it, Dell it pretty much outta question, along with Gateway, Sony, Toshiba, ect. Am i right?

What'd you want your laptop for? I noticed you have the HP dv1000 in the list, I was looking at that one for awhile until they came out with the DV4000. I haven't looked at Acer much so I can't comment on that brand.

Just for, internet browsing, and picture storage and editing. But it dosent need to be tricked out, but it does need to be good enough, so windows and the internet dosent really lagg. Because i have highspeed, and i need the computer to be able to process that highspeed ok. so yeah....

i would suggest dell laptops. they are very cheap and yet with all the powerful stuff. only bad thing is quality and brand is cheap.

I sincerely think that dell labtops are junk. No offense. They are cheap, yes, but, in the long run, you'll wish that you hadn't of gotten one. The xps series is very nice, but that's $$$. HP/compaq, gateway, sony, toshiba, and acer are brands that I recommend.

yeah that one is right at the top of my budget. i cant spend any more then that. so all the parts in that, there worth the price, compared, lets say, to the one hp i have listed, i think its very first one. because i think the hp is less explenive but not quite as nice either. So which brand will last longer. which on personal preference, all things inluded, considering the price too, would you choose?
