standalone web hosting with Apache Server

I was wondering something:

I am willing to use Apache for my own web hosting.

I have to tell you this: I have only 10GB of upload, so it won't be a forum. Plus, I don't know how to use PHP pages :S

anyways, How do I configure this bad guy for a good hosting that implements:

EG: www.blablablatwit.com

or

www.plustreehouseidiotjf.net

Did you check with your ISP if they allow servers? Because sometimes they block server ports like port 80 since they don't want people using up their bandwitch. Plus you need a static IP.
