CPU clock

i just check with everest and it says my CPU clock is running at about 994 mhz why is it so slow. i have a AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Deigo 2.2 ghz. Also is it safe to clock it even more if so how do i do it.

If the CPU doesn't need to run at the higher speeds it won't. run a program while it takes the read and see if it changes.

Is your computer running slow like it actually is running at 994 mhz? If it is it might be that it is overheating so it is slowing itself down

ok i just tested it by running a program and it jumps to 2.2 so i guesss it just does it itself.

Are you sure that it's not including the multipliers?
