DVD Burner Problem

Heya guys

well i just got a dvd burner and i put it in and it worked fine the 1st time i put a cd in it to install a driver on my computer.

now when i put a cd in it, even if its auto run it doesnt work, it wont come up on the screen. so i go into 'my computer' and double click on the dvd burners icon, then nothing happens and the 'my computer' window freezes.

any idea why this would be happening?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

oh sorry to double post, but this is a new relevation

i just put an audio cd in and it worked. Yet cd's like the cd for my printer, or my scanner still will not work.

EDIT>> ok no it doesnt work. it can show me that there are audio files on the cd, but when i double click to play one it freezes once again. =S

The CD drive may be faulty. Change it
