Samsung has manufactured some lovely looking gddr4 memories for graphics cards. They are still in testing but they should start to manufacture them in large numbers sometime next summer.
Ati's x1800 XT has a memory clock speed of 1500mhz, which I think is the highest one there is. But the gddr4 memories are capable of going up to 2800mhz, that being almost twice as fast as the gddr3 in the x1800 XT.
The 1st memories that samsung has manufactured were 256mb and the clock speed was 2.5ghz. (2500mhz) but they are trying to raise it to 2.8ghz during this year.
