You should be. It's a good processor. Especially if you have the Toledo core. Those overclock rather nicely. I think newegg.com's are the Manchester core, which don't overclock as well, but run a bit cooler.

Everest software will tell you that too. It's a program good for everything related to getting your system info. Even temp readout too.

Yes. The Toledo core is better than Manchester. I didn't know a 3800+ was available using that core. I'm suspicious that Everest is telling you the wrong core info. The L2 cache is 2x512MB when most Toledo cores utilize 2x1MB.

nope, some 3800+ use the Toledo cores with half the cache disabled.
