Hey,
I have been having troubles with my cpu fan with the whole temp etc.... and so i am trying everything possible. So i have decided its time i upgraded my bios.... i just want to know how i go about this and if there is any sites i can go to??? I have a P4P800S-X series Motherboard with a 3ghz intenl pentium cpu.

Also does anyone know how to increase the fan speed (voltage) with this type of motherboard??? (if its possible)

Any help would be great!! :D

When upgrading BIOS, I suggest going to Intel's site and get the updates there:

http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/

You'll need to provide your info and click on the appropriate link to get updates (if any). It's usually a little program with the BIOS update kind of like an FDISK for hard drive partitioning, but different.

As far as the fan goes, most fans are controlled by means of temp sensors. The hotter the CPU gets, RPM will increase directly with it. There are probably fans out there with adjustable RPM controls so you can manually change the speed settings of the fan.
