Can you overclock a laptop?

Can you overclock a laptop, if so how? i asume the main issue would be heat!!! but the fan on laptops turns on and off depending and cpu heat, so would it mean that the fan is on more of the time?

I'm pretty sure that in BIOS you can. Unless the company's locked it, which I have no idea for that ntonio, you should be able to. Yes, it well get hot, and you should have the labtop plugged in. Maybe get one of those cooling pads too... lol.. but yeah, you can overclock.

im pretty sure u can just not a lot just mabye .1-.2ghz if ur lucky. the cooling on labtops are terrible after a while it gets so hot it shuts down and ur planning to overclock so that hting is gonna be HOT!!! wouldnt suggest it being ur gonna ruin it a lot easier. and it could be locked not sure.

I've seen cyberpower go from a 3.8ghz to a 4.0ghz labtop, but it crashed massively, and this was a labtop, so yeah...

Don't try to OC IMO. You don't want it to get too hot.
