CPU Question

now, they are working on Quad-cores CPU also. Maybe the first 128-bit CPU support

I rate the X2 3800+ as the second best desktop CPU out (behind VIA's 2GHz C7), so I would definitely say it's a good chip.

It's built on a 90nm SOI process, has SSE3 instructions, runs at 2GHz, and of course, is dual-core, with a satisfactory 512KB L2 Cache on each of the cores.

The Athlon 64 X2 is just in its beginning stages and it's proven to be quite a performer. Can't wait to see the second generation X2's. Much improved and faster.

The X2 series is expensive, but the new 3800+ is well worth the money.

Or you could buy a Opteron 146 and overclock it to 3.0ghz+ ON AIR! :D It's about the same price as a 3200+ Venice core. It uses the best San Diego cores, is Socket 939 and has a improved Integrated Memory Controller (Thanks to Ownage for the idea! :D).

of course hehe, The Opteron series use the middle of the silicon wafer as it is of the best quality. With good air cooling, or a cheap water cooling setup, you are well on your way to 3.0Ghz+.
