Windows Vista

If I had a machine equipped with:

Celeron 667MHZ
192MB RAM
15GB HDD

I think it would run...crappy, but it would run
@ackrn: Yes. My Geforce 5200 was running on a Geforce 5200 LDDM (Longhorn Display Driver Model). I used the standard one and seen a lot better performance

right from microsofts site:

Minimum system requirements will not be known until summer 2006 at the earliest. However, these guidelines provide useful estimates:

• 512 megabytes (MB) or more of RAM

• A dedicated graphics card with DirectX® 9.0 support

• A modern, Intel Pentium- or AMD Athlon-based PC.

also ive tried the 32 bit beta and its pretty sweet

The new File system will replace it, but you can use NTFS, fat32 and FAT16...even FAT12

I think the new File system will be WinFS

I just keep hearing news that the new Vista retail release may not use the new WinFS, but use the old NTFS from Windows XP. Microsoft's trying to push the product out so there's like no time to fully test the compatiblity of WinFS. They were going to release it as an add on or something later on. If that is true, it would mean Windows Vista won't be fully realized until 2007 maybe. What a long time to wait...
