Can anyone answer that? And as for the license fee and those complaining about it, most people have cable or satellite TV these days ranging from $30 to $70 per month depending on the type of service. That's anywhere from $360 to $840! So if you think $200/year is a lot for TV, check your own cable bill. You might be surprised.

basicly if u have a TV in ur house u need to pay for the license. If u wouldn't then ppl could just buy a playstation, which u can get for like under 50€, and u would never have to pay that license again.

and ofcourse cable and satellite TVs cost quite much. But would u want to give 200€ to the goverment for giving u 2 crappy channels or would u want to keep that 200€ to yourself?

Not quite...

If you have a TV capable of recieving broadcasted signals in your house...

If you had the tuner part of your set altered so you could only watch videos/dvds/play games then you don't have to pay a license.

You do have to proove that you've had the set altered though.
