x800xt or 2 x 6600gt?

im just saying that the motherboard can accept them so if i ever need an athlon 64 x2, i can get it w/o having to buy a new mobo.

Or you can just settle for a single 6600GT with a price of under $150, barely, if money is a problem.

It's getting old, I don't think it'll last all that much longer TBH. The 6800GT is a year old at least.

Talking of GT, all GT cards are SLI compatible. I think the Ultras are too.

I still don't understand what you would need two processors for. You're saying that the motherboard has two CPU sockets? Are you building a supercomputer or something?

OHHHHHHH..... dual core processors like the things that I was talking about earlier. Why were you talking about dual processors?

These are SLI compatible cards.

6600
6600 GT
6800 LE
6800
6800 GT
6800 GTO (OEM variant)
6800 Ultra
7800 GT
7800 GTX

I dont think the regular 6600 is compatible with sli. I think any card above the 6600gt is sli compatible. Im not sure but thats what I heard.

the new 80.xx drivers will make the use of the bridge connector useless, or so ive heard. So 6200 cards are SLI compatable now.

Hmmm, that list is almost accurate. Here's what I found:

6600
6600 LE
6600 GT
6800
6800 GT
6800 GTO
6800 Ultra
7800 GT
7800 GTX
FX 1400
FX 3400
FX 4400

I think you just confused the LE for a 6800 and forgot the FX ones.
