all you should need to do is make sure that they are on the same network, it could be that your router is assigning physically different networks for the wired and wireless interfaces.
the router, (when recieving a packet destined for a specific host should forward to that host, whether it's internal or external).
when they are on the asme network try to ping one machine from the other, Ping [machine name] or ping [ip address]...
if that works, make sure that the server service is runing and see if you can see the shared files/folders on your network...
Once yuo've used the network wizard thingy you *should* see a conection called local network connection, a bridged network joins two networks together.
