Hey yall i need to know really fast what are the fastes devices available today for PC's or workstations that can be used to copy important files from the pc to a storage device (e.g. floppy disk, jump (flash) drive, etc.).

And if you can just tell me a little bit about why they are the best devices. thanks

how much do you plan on copying? what are you going ot use it for? you can cut the floppy out of it for sure, there just to unreliable and small for todays standard. an external hard drive with a 2.0 USB connection is proably going to be the fastest and biggest. shouldnt need to be installed as well if you have plug and play on the comp. maybe look at a fast CD/DVD burner as well

I'd get an external hdd. And if it supports firewire and ur comp has firewire then it's going to be really fast. They can store huge amounts of stuff, I've seen ones that can store 2TB.
