How do I tell if my copy of Windows 98 is legal? Windows 95?

Or go to windows update site and let it check to see if it's a legal copy.

I bought it at a used place, it doesn't come with a shiny sticker.

It doesn't have a card for internet.

Then i don't think you can check to see if it's legit.

Do you have the registration number? Call Microsoft to see if you have a real copy. Even if you don't have the number, there should be a way to get a number from the operating system itself.

Go to microsoft and download some prgram and ask them to verify your copy of windows.

^^He doesn't have internet on it.

If you have access to another computer with internet download and burn everest. it's a program that basically tells you everything about your computer. theres a part in there about your OS and it tells you your CD key.
