I have an Asus Mobo (not sure of the brand b/c someone just gave it to me and I haven't checked), Pentium II MMX tech. I hit the power switch and nothing turns on, I switched out the power supply w/ the same result. It was a used computer and was given to me like this so I have nothing to go on on how this might have happened. I think it's the mobo (but i hope not) or the switch. Any other suggestion on what might be causing the problem?
Thanks

Yeah, most likely a problem within the mobo. Check the connections. Clean off dust (if there is any) and make sure the psu is working correctly. Put the psu in a different comp and put a new psu in that old comp. See which works. If one works, then you know the problem. If neither of them works, then you also know the problem. It could be a bad socket breaker in your house, but, I highly doubt that.

I'll try putting in my other Pentium II from a diff comp to see if that works. If not then I guess it's dead.
