What are they best motherboards?

That is a very good motherboard if you're after a non SLi motherboard. I probably would suggest equivalents to the MSI, and so there is no real point. I'm just curious as to what you want out of the board? Do you want a gaming PC? Or just a slave machine?

Specify what you want the PC to do, and I can give you more advice :)

Asus boards are susposed to be among the best boards aroung right now.
now and forever. :D
i like asus and they always get high marks, if not the highest.

ASUS is not bad. They used to be the best, but now their okay. DFI, ABIT and MSI are some of the best too.

hello i need help on picking out a motherbaord, i dont know what brand and chipset is good. any suggest would be helpful. i did have this one in mind:

MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum nForce4 Ultra (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-046-MS)

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/MSI_Socket_939.html

third one down

That's a good motherboard. Other reputable manufacturers are Asus, Abit, GIgabyte, and MSI. Other ok ones are AOpen, ASRock, and Biostar.

Get the new nForce 4 chipset for whatever motherboard you choose.

EPoX makes some great motherboards too, especially if you're on a budget! :D

personally, i think DFI is the best, it gives some nice ocing results, EPoX has a VERY nice budget oc board, better than MSI or ABIT even ASUS.
