ive got a custom made computer with an ECS ELITEGROUP KT600- A motherboard with a sempron 2600 and centon 2100 256 ram and an 80 gig hatachi HDD. i dont have windows xp so i borrowed a friends DELL XP reinstallation disk and installed it fine but when it loads the os, lines go through the screen and then the screen goes blank but is still running. is this a motherboard problem or is it just the installation disk. or maybe i need to upgrade the bios?

It's a DELL cd, meaning it will only work on Dells. Sorry.

I don't know how you did it though, I have an hp and I took the os disc and tried to use it with my new computer when I first got it...it was a no-go, it said it would only work with HP systems.
