Reformating

Hey people,

Im planning on reformating an old laptop thats currently running off windows me and im aiming to put windows 98 back onto it, im not sure how i can get windows 98 to install through MS-DOS, BIOS or whatever it uses etc so i can wipe the hard-drive clean. Im a complete noob to this and a little help would be appreciated. Thnx.

Boot your laptop from a windows 98 boot disk, this will start your laptop in MS-DOS mode. Type format c: this will format your hard drive. Insert your windows 98 CD/floppy's. Switch to the directory of your install media. For example if your installing from a floppy type A: to switch to drive A. Then type setup.
