instant music! (mobo)

Hey, i got this feature on my k8v-x mobo that is read as the "instant music" program.. it says i can run music without having to start up windows and stuff.. i was wondering if anyone knows anything of that nature, thanks!

Never knew it, but I think its a great idea. Like that, you don't need to power the whole computer for nothing

It does sound like a fantastic idea, and quite workable by the thought of it. I mean, it has the power, the codecs and the technology to play a CD from the Drive straight out.

yep, my motherboard has it too (Asus A7V600) but I never used it.

wait.. so how does it work.. lol anyone know an online manual site or anything for it? i just wanna try it..

you are able to play a cd in your computer without fully powering it up, it just powers up the cdrom and the speakers and sound card so you can use your computer like a regular cd player. the reason I never use it is because I have a regular cd changer right in this room. and the computer is on most of the time anyway and I have tons of music on it.
